About Robin Kaufman
Robin Kaufman began her artistic journey in 1989, discovering the wonderful world of watercolor through a local workshop. Always inspired by color, her first paintings reflected her lifetime love of flowers and gardening. Through the years, Robin has continually experimented with her art, and embraced the lessons of many inspiring artists including local artist, Ann Delaurentis, and Jeanne Dobie, author of Making Color Sing, as well as Jeanne Carbonetti of the Crow Hill Gallery who taught her to appreciate the peaceful mindfulness in the art of painting.
Robin's paintings help her to rediscover the preciousness of life and the gifts we all have to share with the world. She works in a beautiful sunroom that she has turned into a studio, choosing to stand while she paints and allowing her musical choices to inspire her strokes on the canvas.
Most recently, Robin has begun to discover the healing power of painting the human body through a series of nudes.
To date, Robin has completed a variety of watercolors, abstracts, figurative paintings, landscapes and life drawings. Her biggest inspiration these days comes from her 4 grandchildren, whose luminous souls continue to spark her creativity.
Robin's work is on display at the Garth Gallery in Columbia, PA, including greeting cards, figurative exhibits and her latest series of nudes. Prints and original paintings are available for purchase. Giclee prints and prints on canvas can also be purchased at Haven Fine Handcrafted Gifts & Global Fair Trade in Lititz, PA, and floral greeting cards are available at State of the Art Gallery in East Petersburg, PA.
